Roadrunner - Transparent Overdrive
The Roadrunner is based on the Clark Gainster (also Menatone Red Snapper / Browntone Hoochee-Mama) with the addition of a Cornish LD-1 line driver built in.
It is a transparent and organic sounding boost / overdrive pedal, with selectable diode clipping for different drive characteristics, sag and compression. The pedal is harmonically rich and really easy to dial in to any amp using the responsive presence control.
We love using this pedal in front of all different types of valve amps to add juicy low gain drive without changing the tone of the amp. The Roadrunner can also work as a boost to push your amp over the edge into natural drive, or to add extra gain in front of your other drive pedals without changing their tone.
Features:
Laser-etched faceplate
3 way selectable diode-clipping switch
Class A Line Driver built in (Cornish LD-1)
3 x NOS paper-in-oil capacitors
Japanese carbon-comp resistors in critical positions
Texas Instruments Op-Amp
Alpha pots, Neutrik jack sockets, heavy duty footswitch
Standard 9vDC (centre negative) power input
Handmade in the UK
